Description
Grandma and Puppy is a portrait of an elderly woman holding her cute puppy. I illustrated it using the touchpad on an HP laptop. I did not use pre-made shapes. Everything is hand drawn with the touchpad instead of a pencil or pen (or graphic pen / stylus) or paintbrush. Illustration is less smooth using a touchpad (also not all touchpads are created equal) and it takes quite a bit of patience, but it is a method I have used for digital illustration since getting my first laptop. Prior to that I used a mouse. I purchased a graphic pen and tablet several years ago, but because the tablet was small, I preferred just using the touchpad. Overall I prefer illustrating with pen,marker, or colored pencil.
