I was experimenting with colors and shapes. What I created looked like an elephant to me.So, playing with that perception, I digitally added a gray background (gray matter?) and the words "faded memory"--elephants supposedly never forget, but this elephant looks like his best days are far behind him. That's the story behind this bizarre piece of art.

I am a self-taught artist. I work with various mediums including acrylic, watercolors, pastels, graphic arts, film, digital photography, and digital imaging. Much of my work involves mixed mediums. I am also a portrait artist and illustrator, heavily influenced and inspired by the communities in which I have lived. I also enjoy illustrating sports scenes, painting portraits, and drawing cartoons.
